Seems like Targetmaster/Minicon is making a comeback as dubbed as Takara-Tomy as Arms Micron (Targetmaster + Minicon?). They have updated their website with the official images of more figures, mostly deluxe with their Arms Micron partners as well.
The figures are based on the same RID molds that we are currently getting domestically with newly molded Micron ports and of course, the coupling line ups of the new Arms Microns themselves.
Along with those releases, they have also announced two new Arm Micron campaigns called Vector Oracle and Firebolt. Vector Oracle will be a limited unit with only 4000 units will be released. The Vector Oracle will be a translucent green version of Nightstick.
Vector Oracle will be given away at many Toys”R”Us locations in Japan for customers who spend 3000 Yen on Transformers products starting 25th February.
Firebolt is a G1-ish redeco of Power Core Combiner Pinpoint that can be acquired by pre-ordering Transformers Prime Arms Micron Optimus Prime.
Apart from official news announcements in Takara-Tomy’s website, the Figure King magazine have also revealed more on the Arm Microns.
Based on the issue, the Arm Micron will appear as un-assembled on sprues and feature translucent pieces that will somehow tie into a Transformers Prime game that will be revealed sometime later.
Interestingly, some names have also been revealed as the partners of the RID figures while there were some unknown ones as well. The known ones are so far Golla for Megatron and Baro for Skywarp. Here are the rest of them:
- AM-01 Optimus Prime with O.P.
- AM-02 Bumblebee with B-2
- AM-03 Cliffjumper with C.L.
- AM-04 Ratchet with R.A.
- AM-05 Megatron with Golla
- AM-06 Skywarp with Baro
As claimed, the figures will feature less paintjob than it normally would but they will certainly come with stickers to add detail. Each figure will also feature multiple newly sculpted ports for the Microns to attach.
There were speculation that some of the Arm Microns can be combined into larger weapons.
