The land of the rising sun has very unique and funny ways in naming their toyline. Not to be seen as a copy cat, Japanese Transformers toy maker has decided to call their very own Generations line, as Transformers United.
The news was first revealed by Kapow Toys’ member, Red Leader that reports TakaraTomy is releasing the line in December 2010. The line will be succeeding it’s Henkei line just like Generations succeeding it’s Classics/Universe counterpart that successfully teased G1 centric fans from 2006 to 2008 respectively.
The rookies of Transformers United will be 10 figures made of some re-issues of the previous Henkei line with figures from it’s American counterpart with some chrome and metallic touch up on it’s figures.
Transformers United is not to be confused with Unite For the Universe line and also Transformers 2010 where the most color accurate Unicron falls in the category, a spin off from Revenge of the Fallen main line.
The December releases are listed as follows:
- UN01 – Optimus Prime Cybertron Mode
- UN02 – Bumblebee Cybertron Mode
- UN03 – Cliffjumper Cybertron Mode
- UN04 – Megatron Cybertron Mode
- UN05 – Soundwave Cybertron Mode
- UN06 – Optimus Prime
- UN07 – Bumblebee
- UN08 – Autobot Drift
- UN09 – Megatron
- UN10 – United Straxus
