With the release of Harry Potter and Captain America, Transformers Dark of The Moon has descended to the fifth spot in the US, however it is still going gangbusters for international screenings especially in China.
Transformers in China raked as much as $40 million out of the $62 million international tally only for a week’s plus release. It immediately became the largest foreign film opening in China ever.
For this week, the domestic tally is $325.8 million, international is at $556.6 million for a $882.4 million overall gross. Transformers Dark of the Moon operated on a $195 million budget.
