Animated 3 Will Be The Last?

For some of you, this would be heart-breaking news. For some of you, this would be the best news you've heard since you first saw the designs leak a couple of years back. And the third portion probably never cared in the first place, thus they do not care now.

Sources were unwilling to confirm or deny this rumor, or simply said "No comment" at all.

If this rumor pans out to be true, what was the cause behind the abrupt decision to end Transformers Animated? Was it something behind the scenes with Cartoon Network?

Was it the overall state of the United States economy? Or does Hasbro have bigger, more wide-spread plans for the Transformers brand as a whole?
