According to Seibertron.com, Joan Philo Casting put out a call last week looking for Chicago men and women from the ages 20 to 80 that look to be of Ukrainian descent.Here’s a look at the official casting call via Craigslist:
Joan Philo Casting (Public Enemies, A Nightmare on Elm St., My Life) is searching for Ukrainian (looking) men and women (20 to 80 years of age) to work as paid extras on a feature film in April. This will be a one day shoot.
This is for a major motion picture! If you are interested please send a recent color photograph (not professional) to jpextras@gmail.com. In the subject line please put “Ukrainian.” Include your phone number, name, address and all your clothing/shoe sizes.
Especially looking for Ukrainian (Or Ukrainian looking types) men 5′10″ to 6′1″, clothing size 38 regular to 44 regular who know how to handle a gun. Please post all your sizes from your shoe size to your hat size [or head measurement] Please let me know if you know how to handle a gun.
Don’t be shy! Even if you have never been an extra before this is your chance. We love new people! This will be a fun shoot with an amazing crew.

This may seem like a strange request for Transformers 3, but Seibertron.com explains, “it was also revealed this week that armies from Ukraine and Iran would be portrayed in the film.” So it looks like they’ll be shooting some of those army scenes in Chicago. Filming is expected to begin in Chicago in the next couple of weeks.
