Transformers Dark of The Moon had eventually reach China’s audience after a month hold up by their government to give way for their propaganda flick. After some ‘serious’ stuff going on, Chinese audience have deserve the all out Cybertronian fun now.
Though only started showing July 21, Transformers Dark of the Moon in China is all out as they are going to be screening on 31 IMAX screens which is the largest nationwide roll-out of a film here to date!
Before reaching China, Transformers Dark of the Moon had already yielded almost $460 million (as of July 15).
Judging from this scenario, its global IMAX gross is expected to outrun its predecessor’s performance – Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, which rakes in $44 million via IMAX theatres worldwide, and which was also briefly China’s most highest-grossing film ever before being overtaken the same year by Avatar.
However at the moment, no details were available for the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which also has yet to show in China.
