Shia LaBeouf has confessed he misses working with Megan Fox on Transformers but is looking forward to what his new co-star can bring to the series.
Megan left the third movie just before filming started and was replaced by model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who will play the new love interest of Shia’s character Sam Witwicky.
Director Michael Bay had previously worked with 23-year-old Huntington-Whiteley – who is dating action movie star Jason Statham – on the Victoria’s Secret lingerie advert A Thousand Fantasies.
LaBeouf has now admitted he misses working with Megan, who played Mikaela Banes, but says Rosie will bring a fresh angle to this third and final film in Bay’s blockbuster robot action trilogy.
He told USA Today: “I love Megan and I miss the girl, but Sam and Mikaela became one character, and here… you have discovery again from a new perspective.” Meanwhile, Michael Bay has acknowledged weaknesses in the previous film and spoken about how he wants to improve the story for this next instalment, which is currently filming in Los Angeles.
