In the video, LaBeouf—who appears to be drunk—seems to have dared his friend to slap him as hard as he can while the camera is rolling.

Friends can be heard in the background cheering and egging each other on. Early in the video, before the slap, LeBeouf taunts his friend with words like “faggot” and “bitch.”

Posted early Tuesday, the video has gone viral, focusing loads of negative press on the young star. Angry bloggers including Perez Hilton and DListed helped to circulate LaBeouf's homophobic video.
