Well, I don't think it will be ushering in a new era in cerebral cinema BUT it did have giant alien robots on skates! This is the big one. Dying to see the first ever teaser trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen during the Super Bowl?
Well wait no longer, it’s already online.
It’s just a short teaser, which means quick flashes of different images and not a lot of plot revelation. But watch closely or pause in a few places and you’ll get some vital clues.
The upcoming sequel to Transformers doesn't have as much weight on its shoulders that the original did. That's because many of us already feel betrayed by the first one, so it's not likely to get much worse.
This looks like it could have been the original's trailer. Just about everything looks exactly the same, which is good for the many who liked the original, and inconsequential to the equally as many who didn't.
With Michael Bay back at the helm, along with plenty of original cast members – including every teenage boy's favorite, Megan Fox – there is little reason to suspect this sequel will be unique in any way.
On the plus side, it looks like Ravage makes an appearance here. He was one of the more interesting Transformers, with the ability to change from a jaguar to a cassette tape. I wonder, though, how Ravage will stay relevant now that his medium is outdated.
In the end, there is not a whole lot here to be excited about, but then again, it is always best to walk into a movie like this with the lowest of expectations.
