Sutton, who was the sequence supervisor in the movie, will speak on 3D modelling, animation, photorealistic lighting techniques as well as an overview of ILM’s production pipeline.
He will also share some insights in learning “how to see” as an artist and how to make computer graphic imagery look real.
At the presentation, computer graphics artists and Transformers fans will also learn about the concept behind the facial expressions of the robots in the movie.
Sutton will share how many pieces had to be modelled, painted, and connected to create a realistic digital robot for the big screen.
