TF PRIME Time Slot Revealed

Thanks to Media Week who have posted an article about The Hub and the line they have planned for the fall when the channel debut’s on 10/10/10. Tranformers Prime will be run in the 1 PM EST to 6 PM EST time Kids Afternoon/Prime slot along side the GI Joe, My Little Pony and three other shows to fill the five hours of programming.

Airachnid To Debut In Prime?

It’s Speculation Time again. This time it’s for Transformers: Prime. S250 posted a Twitter update stating that he “just heard some rumor about [a] Giant character of coming transformers series”. This was then followed by the tweet/twit…

“something like giant arachnida and dinosaur……”. Now, some of you may remember that towards the end of last year with the help from “Transformers @ The Moon”, we brought you a news that Hasbro had submitted a Trademark Application to the USPTO for the name Airachnid. Could this be the name of this giant character S250 has heard about?

Hasbro Files Trademark for TF Prime

Hasbro, Inc. has filed the name “Transformers: Prime” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and within that filing, confirms the name of the upcoming “on-going” television series.

The name has been rumored to be the title of the upcoming Transformers cartoon expected to launch on the company’s joint venture cable channel, The Hub.

The filing, completed on April 7, 2010, states that the goods and services associated with this name include the following: toy action figures; toy vehicles; toy robots covertible [sic] into other visual toy forms; board games; parlor games entertainment services, namely an on-going animated television series.

The series is expected to launch with The Hub, the joint venture between Hasbro, Inc. and Discovery Communications, on October 10th.

New Packaging For Prime & S.Scream

Thanks again to The Arker who has posted some new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen images showing us new packaging for the leader class series action figures that will flying under the general “Transformers” branding. The images give us new looks leader class Optimus Prime as well as the much anticipated Starscream.

The new Leaders Optimus Prime has been updated replacing his sword weapons the new battle hooks. He had the un-masked head similar to Buster Prime.

He also has some addition battle damage paint applications to commemorate the forest fight scene.

If you have not been keeping up, the leader Starscream is an all new mold. Hasbro has gone all out on this figure.

Finally, the fans will get a truly awesome Starscream sans many of the design gaffs that fowled (pun intended) it up before.

Transformers: Prime’s BB Revealed?

Allspark member Monocle has posted an image from Brandweek – a media advertising magazine that looks to have given us a sneak peak of the possible Bumblebee design for the upcoming Transformers cartoon – Transformers:Prime.

This image is mainly an advertisement for “The Hub” and this version of Bumblebee does look similar to his movie counterpart.

Orci & Kurtzman in Transformers Prime

The writers of Transformers The Movie (2007) and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are involved in the upcoming cartoon series “Transformers: Prime”. But that#s not all as we now have confirmation of the series being CGI.

Transformers: Prime will be computer graphics animated and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will be involved in the project, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

According to the entertainment website, the screenwriters responsible for the Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be executive producers on the Transformers: Prime, the show debuting on Hasbro Inc. and Discovery Networks’ The Hub in fall 2010.

The article also reports that the show will be “CG-animated.” Whether the design follows the Transformers Armada, Energon, and Cybertron era or the Beast Wars, Beast Machines era (this reporter crosses his fingers for this version) was not specified.

The name of the show Prime was revealed by Jeffrey Combs on a post in his website, where he also revealed that he has been cast as Ratchet.
