"Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time."
LaBeouf's brushes with the law are nothing new – in November (07), he was booked on trespassing charges after refusing to leave a drugstore in Chicago, Illinois and in February (08), he was charged with smoking in a prohibited area in California.
