For the first time in the history of the Transformer series, you can stop daydreaming about Cybertron, and actually go there…Today marks the first in a series that has spanned over twenty different iterations and a rediculious amount of games that just never made the cut. All that changed when High Moon and Hasbro teamed up to bring the epic battle for Cybertron to the home.
Giving you the ability to choose between Autobot or Decepticon, you then follow a distinct campaign path, depending on your choice. You can choose who you play as, along with who your team will be – given the option of having two other bots to follow you though the missions (and they can even be your friends via online or offline). Not only that, full-fledged multiplayer battle is on board, letting you create your own bot to cut, smash, bash, and blast your friends in eight different modes.
“Transformers: War for Cybertron has absolutely been a passion project from day one, a true reimagining of the franchise that transports gamers straight to the core of the TRANSFORMERS universe,” said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Activision Publishing, and with good reason. With ratings from places like Ign.com and Game Informer giving it top marks, you know that you have something great on your hands.
So if you have that itch to go out and buy something with robots, or to get something so you can have a game to play with friends, here’s something that may scratch that itch of yours. After all, nobody knows about The Touch more than Optimus Prime and his crew of Autobots.
