Isabel Lucas Makes Anti-Whaling Ad
Former Home and Away star Isabel Lucas has joined forces with hardcore anti-whaling group, Sea Shepherd to try stop Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean. The 24-year-old Australian actress will add star power to a TV commercial to air today and that asks people to donate money to the Sea Shepherd, news.com.au reports.
Lucas, who appears in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen did not charge the group a cent for her time, Sea Shepherd Australian director Jeff Hansen told the website. The actress has aligned herself to several environmental causes in the past and most notably in 2007 was involved in a clash with fishermen in Japan after trying to stop them killing dolphins.
Earlier today the Sea Shepherd resumed its anti-whaling activates after one of its vessels, the Ady Gil, was sunk in a clash with the Japanese whaling fleet.
