TF Toys Knocks Ben 10 Off
Our exclusive NPD data shows Transformers has taken the number one property spot for July. Following the release of the Revenge of the Fallen movie, the property has knocked the ubiquitous Ben 10 from its top spot for the first time in five months. Another newcomer to the top five property list was Little Tikes.
The outdoor toy brand was boosted in part by a warmer summer and by the launch of the 30th anniversary version of the iconic Cosy Coupe car. The top five properties for July are:
- Transformers
- Ben 10
- Little Tikes
- Thomas and Friends
- Star Wars
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince helped the property gain the best progression title as the famous wizard leapt from 199th position to a respectable 60th place.
Also racing up the charts was Aardman's new pre-school property, Timmy Time, which rose from number 280 to number 75. The product making the best progress in July was the Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies and Lights Gym from Mattel which moved up from 518th place to an impressive 25th place.
