Some updates on upcoming Transformers Live Action Movie:

• Transformers Writers Reveal the Characters (11/7/05)
  ComingSoon.net caught up with Transformers writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. They talked a bit about what characters you can expect - the Transformers legacy is so vast and full of characters, we just had to know who they may be including in the story. "The staple characters: Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, Jazz," Kurtzman replied. "There's going to be a lot of them. You're going to have ten Transformers in that movie, and if that's not enough, you can go see 2, 3, 4 or 5." Read more here.
  
• More Than Meet The Eyes (13/07/05)
  At theatres nationwide on 04/07/07! The live-action “Transformers” movie has been set to open nationwide on 07-04-07, it was jointly announced today by DreamWorks Pictures, Hasbro and Paramount Pictures. This movie will be directed by Michael Bay (upcoming “The Island,” “Armageddon”) from a screenplay being written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (upcoming “The Island”). Steven Spielberg (“War of the Worlds”) is executive producing the film, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (upcoming “Four Brothers”), Tom DeSanto (“X-Men” and “X2: X-Men United”) and Don Murphy (“The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”) serving as co-executive producers. • Full Size Optimus Camouflaged!
  An SDCC Sneak Preview. GalacticHunter brings us the first in what is sure to be a week filled with exciting images for fans in general. Don Murphy first tipped us off to a full scale Optimus Prime being brought to the floor of SDCC and well...it does exist! Right now, however, it is covered up. Will it be unveiled in all it's glory?
