Instead of doing this afterwards, we would like to tell you to take everything we're about to say with a heap of salt. After all, the information that IO9 is reporting comes from "a guy who knows a guy." The information is further brought into question with a specific piece of information, which we will get to later.
Okay, first, we're going to get the Soundwave rumor out of the way. Apparently, the character will be all black in color and does not have an Earth mode at all. This is in-line with "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" screenwriter Roberto Orci's comments, where he denies that Soundwave's Earth alternate mode is a pick-up truck.
Another Constructicon rumor! There is a report that the Constructicons will join together to form Devastator more than once, contradicting a previous rumor that the combiner will only appear in the film for a brief amount of time.
The character Jetfire will supposedly start off as a Destructicon and will change sides, very much in-line with the character's history. Although, we at TFormers have even more doubts about this guy, since the source says Jetfire will start as a "Destructicon" rather than "Decepticon."
A tiny Optimus Prime rumor is that he may have a scene with a trailer. This source claims that Ravage is actually a biological weapon itself, which takes the rumor that the character uses biological weapons towards humans, a bit further. Also, Ravage counterpart Laserbeak will not make an appearance.
Furthermore, some alt mode denials: the ice cream truck and Chevrolet Volt, and the Hummer HX are not Transformers. We were already told by GM Spokesman Rob Peterson that the Volt will not be a Transformer and the couple of times that we have seen the Hummer HX, the vehicle sports a "NEST" logo, which has largely believed to be the successor to the Sector 7 organization from "Transformers."
As for the ice cream truck, we have seen and read the signs that point to the truck being a Transformer. The call sheet calls for the vehicle to split in two and to rejoin.
Finally on rumors regarding the robots, the source claims that Megatron does not return until the end of the movie when Soundwave will resurrect him. Various news posts have pointed that Megatron's new alternate mode will be a tank.
Turning to something non-robot-rumor-related, the source offers up an interesting theory about "The Fallen" aspect of the film. Many have speculated that The Fallen points to the character from the DreamWave Productions-era comic book "The War Within: The Dark Ages," while some propose that it calls to the defeated Decepticons from "Transformers," but it has been suggested that "The Fallen" is an old Cybertronian legend.
The supposed legend is that it is a whole army of robots who are supposed to protect the Cube. When Sam Witwicky goes bonkers and starts speaking gibberish, he's actually reciting Cybertronian hieroglyphics that prophesize the return of the Fallen.
Finally, last but not least, this next rumor is a tearjerker, folks, so bring out those tissues. Simmons, played by John Turturro, will die in the film.
