Activision released its latest game based in the Transformers universe yesterday, and the early word is War for Cybertron doesn’t suck. That’s music to the ears of 12-year-old Jack Gaughan, the boy who just might be the world’s biggest Transformers fan.
Gaughan, a Glasgow resident, was officially named the biggest Transformers fan in Britain after a month-long nationwide competition. With more than 600 toys, games, official merchandise and memorabilia, it’s likely Gaughan challenges for the title of the world’s biggest Transformers nut.
“I just can’t believe it,” Gaughan said. “I’ve been collecting for three years and love everything about Transformers. I don’t think there is an inch of space on my walls left for anything else.”
For his (parent’s) efforts, Gaughan won a life-sized drawing of himself as one of his favorite Transformer characters by artist Jon Davis Hunt.
Transformers: War for Cybertron, is a third-person action shooter based on the Transformer home planet of Cybertron. While previous Transformer games have been lackluster at best, War for Cybertron is drawing strong reviews across the board with a Metacritic score of 84.
