Cybertronians bank for EONs
If the two famous robots can’t make it to town, even replicas are good enough. The doubles for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee caused heads to turn when they appeared yesterday at EON Bank Group’s prize-giving ceremony for a contest in the bank’s tie-up campaign with the Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie.
The six-foot tall robots were actually actors in costumes.
In the contest, EON Bank gave away a grand prize of a Transformers Adrenaline Space Adventure trip to Orlando, Florida, for two and a 12-inch custom-made Gold Optimus Prime figurine.
The contest, which ended on June 15, was part of the GSC-EON Bank Credit Card Mass Spends campaign that garnered a total of RM68mil in spending.
The campaign kicked off on April 18.
The grand prize winner was company general manager Tan Chin Soon.
