Soon after Megan Fox confirms her departure from “Transformers” film franchise, names of stars who could replace her have been thrown. TheWrap reports that Gemma Arterton is currently in competition with models Bar Refaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker to take the role of the new female lead in “Transformers 3”.
An individual close to the casting process says the “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” actress has already had discussions with Michael Bay about the coveted role. Refaeli and Kerr also have reportedly read for casting director, while Decker has the most substantial acting career of the three models. However, TheWrap claims Arterton is still the top choice for the movie helmer and Paramount Pictures.
Another site Ain’t It Cool News (AICN) also comes out with another list of possible new “Transformers 3” beauty. According to their source, Zoe Saldana (“Avatar”), Hayden Panettiere (“Heroes”), Camilla Belle (“10,000 B.C.”), Ashley Greene (“Twilight”) and Vanessa Hudgens (“High School Musical”) are being considered to replace Megan Fox.
The competition reportedly also involves some less notable stars such as Emmanuelle Chriqui (“Entourage”), Jessica Lowndes (“90210”), Amber Heard (“Zombieland”), Julianne Hough (“Footloose”) as well as English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Since Megan Fox quit “Transformers 3”, Michael Bay, writer Ehren Kruger and Paramount Pictures reportedly plan to take the story “in another direction”. The director is said to find Sam Witwicky’s new love interest that “makes more sense for the story.”
Shia LaBeouf is still on board to reprise his role as the owner of Bumblebee, joined by Josh Duhamel who will return as Major Lennox. Production of the film has begun earlier this month, while the movie is set to open wide in U.S. cinemas on July 1, 2011.
High Moon Studios is definitely keeping everyone in the loop with Transformers War For Cybertron, releasing another trailer to whet our taste buds. The latest trailer gives us a short introduction to the new story arc that the game will be based on.
The game will start before the G1 arc of Transformers began, which is widely considered to be when Transformers was at it’s best. It will begin in a form that we have not really seen before; Optimus Prime is just a regular Autobot soldier, Starscream isn’t a Decepticon, and Megatron is just trying to restore Cybertron to what he considers its ‘Golden Age’.
The most interesting teaser from the trailer is that we will finally have an explanation as to why Megatron keeps Starscream as his right hand man, instead of disposing of him after the many failed takeover attempts, similar to what was seen in G1.
Megan Fox, near the top of several magazine’s most beautiful woman list, has announced that she is willing to do full frontal nudity in Transformers 3. Said Fox in an interview in Hollywood, “I don’t like the way that the movie ticket sales are going for this one. We should be selling more tickets and bringing in more money. If it will boost our box office for the next movie, I’m willing to do whatever it takes.”
“Whatever it takes” was then defined by Fox as removing her clothes.
“I’m sure that seeing my hot, sweaty, glistening body would make those giant robot thingies just stop in their tracks and stare. I mean, that works for most men I meet anyway. They all see to like checking me out, and I’m kind of a tease or flirt about it too.”
Fox, who has already gone topless in “Jennifer’s Body,” added that she does have the hots for someone on their set. “Just the thought of Optimus Prime and that piston pumping power of his makes me wet!”
In conclusion, Fox added that “this nudity would have to be something that moves the story forward, of course. I wouldn’t do it just to show off my titties or collect the extra two million in payment that the studio has offered me. It will have to be tasteful.”
The announcement that Fox was willing to do full frontal nudity caused a movie that has not even started filming become the biggest selling DVD pre-order in history.
