TRANSFORMERS 4 - SUMMER OF 2014!

Although it is no surprise that after Dark of the Moon's impressive $1.124 billion at the worldwide box office, another transformers film would be made. Merely unofficial rumors, until now. Paramount Pictures is planning a return of Transformers to the big screen, likely in June or July of 2014. No confirmation has been given to the return of Michael Bay, but given the success of the Speilberg/Bay combination, it is probable. ComingSoon.net posted information regarding the announcement and had this to say:

producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura wrote:
"We'll be there in the summer of 2014," he confirmed, as well as addressing (albeit vaguely) whether Michael Bay will be returning as director or not. "Michael had a debate because he sort of felt at first that he'd done three. Michael and I are both the same in that we always like to top ourselves. That doesn't necessarily mean bigger. It can be bigger in places, it just means different, but we're going to push really hard as fresh and new as we can be."

What can fans expect for a major motion picture on the 30th anniversary of the brand? Time will tell. To read the full account on Comingsoon.net click below:

TF4: LAST TRANSFORMERS FILM FOR BAY, WILL FEATURE CHARACTER REDESIGNS AND NEW ENTIRELY NEW CAST

LA Times Hero Complex recently posted an article focusing on Universal Studios Hollywood's new Transformers: The Ride 3D in which director Michael Bay drops a little information about his next Transformers film. According to article Bay says the forth film will be his last before handing the franchise off to a new director. Take that with the normal dose of salt, as we've been hearing that since Transformers: ROTF. The forth film is also said to feature character redesigns and a completely new cast. Click here to read the full article.

"There’s plenty more Transformer action to come with a major new video game release, “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron,” due in August and another Bay movie in the works. (The director, by the way, says that the fourth film will include some redesign of the robots and an entirely new cast. He also said it will be his last and set the franchise up “for the next guy.”)"

Michael Bay Is Getting Ready For Transformers 4

Director Michael Bay stopped by his Official Website ( http://www.michaelbay.com/) to reveal the Teaser Poster for his upcoming movie; Pain & Gain (starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson of G. I. Joe: Retaliation).

He dropped a tiny info regarding Transformers 4:

The editing process is a bit slower on [Pain & Gain] because I'm in the middle of launching my three TV shows and prepping Transformers 4–which is going in a total new direction and in a way to really broaden the franchise to give it lasting legs.

Mr. Bay’s statement strengthens what Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner told the press, not too long ago.

More news on Transformers 4. The movie to pick up where DOTM left off? Peter Cullen returning as Optimus Prime. Read on.

Michael Bay Talks Transformers 4 - Peter Cullen Is Returning As Optimus Prime

More Transformers 4 news pouring in. Michael Bay recently spoke with the Huffington Post and revealed that the series will pick up where it left off in Chicago -- with Peter Cullen back as the voice of Optimus Prime. Mr. Bay also addressed the number one question people ask about him these days, concerning the Transformers Franchise; “Why is he returning for Transformers 4?”

Why do you want to do it? I was under the impression that you were done after "Transformers 3"?
I thought I was done. Then the ride came out [at Universal Studios Hollywood] and the two-and-a-half-hour lines. And then you're thinking, Oh my God, someone's going to take this over. And you start doing a lot of soul-searching. Like, OK, I'm about to do a little movie, "Pain & Gain" ... and the studio says they want to restart the franchise. And someone could come in here and screw it up, you know? So I'm thinking that if I do this last one, we set it on a new footing, we change a lot of things -- but we keep the history of the three in place. But we broaden it so it can be set up and be carried on -- it would have a better chance for survival, I guess. You know?

So with the plot of "Transformers 4," it's not like the other three movies didn't happen? It's not a reboot?
No. We're basically taking from the history of where it was -- or where we left it in Chicago. And we're going to carry it on from there.

I spoke to Peter Cullen at Comic Con earlier this year. He said he doesn't know if he's going to be back as the voice of Optimus Prime or not. He'll be back, right?
Of course! Of course.

Glenn Morshower Talks Transformers 4 And 5 - Filming Starts December

Hot on the heels of Michael Bay interviews, another famous name from the Transformers Live Action Movie Franchise is talking about Transformers 4… and 5.

Actor Glenn Morshower had this to say to Examiner last weekend at the Con X KC in Kansas City, Missouri:

"After I did the opening ceremonies for the ride, Steven Spielberg walked up to me and chatted and said 'You know we've got you set to do the fourth one and probably the fifth one on the heels of that," said on how he was approached about the new sequels. "So, I guess in December we are on our way to making 4 and 5."

Update: Video from the interview is now available:

Back-To-Back shooting for movies (especially sequels) is not uncommon; famous examples being Back To The Future 2 & 3, The Matrix Reloaded & The Matrix Revolutions as well as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 & Part 2.

This latest development sheds a light on the statement made by Michael Bay himself, where he said Transformers 4 is "probably" the last Transformers movie he directs.

Tyrese Gibson In Talks For Transformers 4

Out of the human characters appeared on the movieverse, Tyrese Gibson’s character Robert Epps has always been a fan favorite. Despite his fellow cast members openly stating that they won’t be back for Transformers 4, Mr. Gibson always said he’d be delighted to come back.

And here he is… stating that he and Michael are in the talks for Transformers 4. Below is a rough transcript of what he said to Mobli.

I don’t know… me and Michael Bay, we’ve been exchanging e-mails… I mean Text Messages and I just hope that it works out… I mean things fell apart with Megan Fox and so we had to do what we had to do to pick up the pieces and keep moving with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. And now things fell apart with Shia. Business is business I think. I think Shia has expressed his opinion. I think when you are associated with movie like Transformers other than the box-office sees you as an actor... a full-on actor, lot of people arguably can say they don’t take you serious… in this town called “Hollywood”... because the reason all these doing big is because of the robots, the big action and special effects and so in some capacity could diminish your value as an actor which you bring to the table. Even though it’s huge for your brand and your image and your celebrity around the world. But Shia is one of those real actors full-on real actors... whether gets an independent role where he just get paid Per diem or at some role he’s just passionate about and that he may do for free. As long as he gets associated with these heavy-weight actors… that’s the space he’s been. But for me I started this s with Shia, Josh, Michael Bay and the Team and sometimes you lose a team member. In my mind not be in a part with Transformers 4… if that’s even happening… it f* me up. I’ll be honest… I love it. It was the childhood, movie, favorite of mine… you know I don’t really not wanna be a part of the franchise. Period. You know when you lose a team member sometimes you gotta keep going. Period.

Michael Bay Says Transformers 4 Will Have a Different Feel

Talking with ET, Director Michael Bay stated that Transformers 4 will have a “different feel”:

"What I can say is that it's going to pick up where the other three left off," said Bay of the film, which will predominantly feature new actors from its predecessors. "It's going to feel very different. It's going to definitely open the franchise up for many more to come, and it's going to have a freshness to it."

It's movie rumor time! A new rumor has recently popped up on various media websites via SpoilerTV. According to SpoilerTV, Transformers 4 will have a "new female lead that... is a high school senior, and her boyfriend a Texas racing driver" among the main characters.

High school senior gal + Texas racing driver... Hmmm... Do they remind you of any characters in the Transformers Universe? 😉

A racing driver? That means race car.

Enter Mirage (but Dino already appeared in DOTM) or enter Road King aka Slap Dash of the Powermaster. Speculate. Speculate. But of course this is unlikely.

Female high school senior?

Enter Minerva!
